Amazon Accelerate 2026: Seller Assistant Gets Memory, Workflows and a Claude Plugin

Amazon Accelerate, the annual conference for Amazon sellers, ran September 22 to 24 at the Seattle Convention Center. A week before unBoxed, it set the direction: Amazon expects sellers to hand routine work to AI agents and spend their own time on decisions.

Here's what was announced and what it means if you sell and advertise on Amazon.

What Amazon announced

A smarter Seller Assistant, with memory. Seller Assistant now carries persistent memory across your business, covering pricing patterns, inventory cycles and growth goals. It uses that to give recommendations on areas like inventory and pricing that improve over time. Amazon says the memory follows sellers across Seller Central, Amazon Quick and Claude. Workflows that run 24/7. You describe a task in plain language, set your guardrails, and Seller Assistant monitors and carries out routine work like restocking and pricing. You choose whether it recommends or acts, and every action is logged.

The Selling Partner plugin. It connects your listings, performance and analytics to the AI tools you already use. It launches first with Amazon Quick and in beta with Anthropic's Claude, for sellers in Amazon's US stores.

Free Amazon Quick Plus for a year. Sellers who sign up by December 31, 2026 get 12 months free for themselves and two delegated users.

Multichannel selling tools. US sellers can connect eBay, Shopify, TikTok and Walmart accounts to Seller Central. They can import and link off-Amazon listings, view sales and orders across channels, and fulfill across channels. Amazon is rolling this out gradually. Amazon's announcement

What it means for sellers

Your Amazon data is becoming reachable by AI assistants. Between the Selling Partner plugin and the Ads MCP Server (Lite) announced a week later at unBoxed, connecting Amazon data to an AI assistant is now an Amazon-supported path. The question shifts from whether to connect to which data the assistant sees.

Memory means your goals compound. An assistant that remembers your pricing habits and growth goals gets more useful over time. It also means the goals you give it should be deliberate.

Always-on workflows need guardrails you control. Letting an agent act on restocking and pricing is powerful. It's riskier if the agent can't see how those decisions affect ad spend and margin.

What it means for advertising

None of the Accelerate announcements were about ads directly. They point the same way as unBoxed, though: agents handle routine work, and humans set the goals. An agent makes better decisions when it knows what matters to your business, such as margin, stock and the products you're pushing this quarter.

That's the idea behind Aakaar AI: AI agents that run PPC, inventory, listings and reporting with a human always in the loop, plus an MCP connection so you can reach it from Claude or ChatGPT. It's the approach behind our selection as a finalist for the Technology Innovation Award at the 2026 Amazon Ads Partner Awards.
